Terms of use

In short

Who provides Happicon

Happicon on happicon.app and in the Happicon app is provided by Robert Klinger (address in the imprint). These terms apply to everyone who plays Happicon. You accept them with your first own puzzle for friends or when you choose a player name.

The game

Happicon is free. You can play without signing up; for the daily puzzle and the friends mode the game creates a game account (see privacy). Coins, experience points and ranking points are game values with no monetary value. They cannot be paid out, sold or transferred to other accounts. We keep developing Happicon and may change, add or discontinue features.

Rules for names and puzzles

Other players see your player name, your emoji and your puzzles. So you must not publish anything that

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for players who harass others. Also play fair: no second accounts to collect points, no tricks to read out answers and no attacks on the game.

Filtering, reporting, blocking

When three players report the same puzzle, we hide it right away; when three players report the same name, we reset it to "Spieler", in both cases until we have reviewed it. Content that breaks these rules is removed. For serious or repeated violations we may suspend or delete a game account. If you think we decided wrongly, write to us and we will take another look.

Your puzzles

Your puzzles belong to you. So that we can show them to your friends, including in link previews in chat apps, you grant us the simple, free right to store and display them for the game as long as your account exists.

Deleting your account

You can delete your game account at any time under "Me" → "Account" → "Delete account". That also ends this agreement.

Liability

We do our best to keep Happicon running but cannot guarantee it. We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential obligations and limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.

Changes and law

If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the game under "What's new?". German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
